Mindfulness Based Reduction Program

Mindfulness is about waking up to life and living your full potential

The Mindfulness Based Stressed Reduction (MBSR) Program was developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn for UMass Medical Center and is considered to be one of the most reliable ways to form new skills for living well and enjoying life, regardless of it's ups and downs. This MBSR Course is taught by Marnie Kennedy. 

The MBSR course is an in-depth eight week training in mindfulness meditation and integrating mindfulness into daily life. It is designed to help participants cultivate their potential to be present each moment with kind, open and non-judgmental awareness and effectively manage stress-related conditions including anxiety, chronic pain, headaches, high blood pressure, and sleep disturbance. 

It consists of eight weekly classes and one day-long retreat on Saturday. Mindfulness is best understood through practice. To fully benefit from MBSR training, participants are asked to commit themselves to daily homework assignments, (approximately 45 mins.) and attending all classes, including day long retreat.
